2014 Triumph Bonneville, Thruxton, Scrambler unveiled
Triumph have provided new colours and other cosmetic updates to the 2014 Bonneville range and to the Thruxton and the Scrambler. While the Bonneville’s 865cc parallel-twin remains unchanged, the 2014 model gets a 17-inch front wheel, a lower seat (740mm), a redesigned exhaust system, revised fuel tank decals and new colours, including black, silver, white and blue. The engine barrel blocks and cylinder heads on the 2014 Bonneville now feature machined cooling fins and minimized oil cooler lines (through the use of a solid black treatment) to “accentuate the classic British twin engine.” The bike’s seat has been redesigned for improved ergonomics and a grab rail is now fitted as standard.
The new Bonneville T100 gets white / gold and black / red paint schemes, a redesigned, louder, exhaust system and grab rail and chain guard as standard equipement, while the T100 Black gets full-on black-out paint for almost everything – the wheels, handlebars, suspension components, mudguard stays, mirrors and grab rail etc.
The 2014 Triumph Thruxton gets new aluminium wheels, a sportier riding position, chrome chain guard, adjustable rear suspension, colour-matched fly screen and a revised (louder!) exhaust system. Available colours include black and green. And, finally, the new Scrambler, which gets black treatment on the its oil cooler lines, handlebars, wheel rims, hubs and rear master cylinder reservoir cover. The bike also gets a redesigned seat, clear anodised bash plate and an embossed ‘Triumph’ logo at the back of the seat. Colours include blue and silver / red.

To mark their 50th year in the US, Suzuki Motor of America have announced the limited-production 2014 GSX-R1000 SE. Only 100 units of this bike will be produced, 50 of which will be sold in the US. “Built around the Suzuki GSX-R1000 that has won more AMA Superbike Championships than any other motorcycle in the class, this SE model adds singular style that is most evident in the polished and chrome-plated frame, plus the machined and polished chrome rims with clear-coated blue spokes,” says a press release from Suzuki.
The 2014 Suzuki GSX-R1000 SE features bits like blue wheel spokes and ram-air intake ports, anodized blue fork tubes, fork adjusters, steering stem nut and the ring surrounding the tachometer, a polished exhaust and muffler combination finished with a black anodized end cap, blue-coloured chain, and clutch cover, generator cover and rear shock spring finished in blue. The bike remains unchanged mechanically.
