After the 800cc V4-engined Crossrunner, Honda have unveiled a concept bike – the V4 Crosstourer – that leans a bit more towards the ‘adventure’ side of the adventure-touring equation. Unlike the Crossrunner, which is fitted with a tweaked version of the erstwhile VFR800’s VTEC V4 engine, the Crosstourer gets the new VFR1200F’s 1200cc V4 as well as its dual-clutch automatic transmission. ‘The V4 Crosstourer Concept will deliver all the fun and excitement of a road sports bike, but with the comfortable upright riding position and manoeuvrability of an adventure machine,’ says a press release from Honda.

Unveiled at the currently ongoing EICMA show in Milan, Italy, the Crosstourer is still a concept bike, though we’re pretty certain Honda will put it into production, perhaps by the end of 2011. Yawn.
